Essences or essential oils are a complex mixture of aromatic substances responsible for the fragrance of flowers. They have numerous pharmacological actions and therefore form the basis of aromatherapy. Oil of Spain’s essential oils are mostly organic.
The oils help moisturize and restore the luminosity of our skin. Their pleasant aroma not only benefits our skin, but also brings well-being to our mind: they can make us feel more optimistic and relieve our stress or anxiety. There are oils for the body, for the face or for the hair. Depending on their main ingredient, they will have different properties and benefits for each skin type.
How do you use it?
As they are very concentrated substances, essential oils should always be used diluted in other elements such as vegetable oils, water or clays. There are three different ways to take advantage of the benefits of essential oils for our body:
1. Inhalation. Aromas activate our limbic system, which is responsible for regulating emotions, memory, hunger and sexual instincts. You can use a diffuser or add a few drops of hot water to the oil to inhale the steam. This is usually one of the safest ways to use the oils, so try aromatherapy.
2. On the skin. Most essential oils cannot be applied directly to the skin, but some, once diluted in other oils or water, are no longer harmful in direct contact with the body. Only lavender, chamomile and tea tree essential oils can be applied directly to the skin. The essential oils moisturize and nourish deeply, leaving a velvety feel without a greasy feel to the skin. If you want to regenerate the skin of your face, you can apply a few drops of essential oil to the forehead, chin, cheekbones and nose and spread them from the inside to the outside of the face with downward movements. For the rest of the body, applying the essential oils with massages stimulates the microcirculation, helps the disappearance of cellulite, improves the elasticity and firmness of the skin and eliminates the feeling of heavy legs.
3. Ingested. The essential oils can be ingested in the form of pills, although in this case it has to be a specialist who makes the prescription and the posology.
